Polydioxanone (PDO) Threads

newly FDA approved

PDO Threads

PDO (polydioxanone) threads are a FDA approved new cosmetic procedure for nonsurgical tightening and lifting of the face and body. During the procedure the doctor inserts a thin needles under the skin with PDO thread attached and pulls it out; leaving behind the thread to make collagen around it in the dermis area of the skin. This results in a tightening and lifting effect.

There are 2 types of procedures you can do involving threads. Nova Mesh–creates a mesh under the skin using Nova threads (smooth) or (twist). Usually 5 threads per area are inserted in 2 or 3 directions creating a net underneath the skin. The novamesh technique relies on the action of the needle and the reaction to the foreign body stimulating new collagen. The Novalyft technique uses threads called barbs inserted unidirectional and bi directional under the skin. These barbs provide an extreme lift and smoothing effect on the skin. A beautiful and healthy face has a natural “V” shape, however, with the aging process and break down of tissue this “V” shape becomes lost. The idea behind the Novamesh and Novalyft technique is to create a scaffolding in order to support the tissue. This maintains the V shape in the face resulting in a healthier, more youthful looking appearance.

The lift lasts about 2-3 years. In addition you can always add more threads to the area. The thread lift is good for people who don’t want to undergo surgery, deal with downtime, or undergo general anesthesia. Novathreads find use in the cheeks, jowls, brows, and neck area. Threads are more effective and longer lasting than Botox and fillers. Finally achieve long lasting nonsurgical facelift results with Novathreads at FeelNu!
